Learn how to turn a basic Daz 3D model into a detailed character with this new course by Rohan Dalvi.
VFX Artist and Teacher Rohan Dalvi has announced the release of a new course on character design in Houdini. According to the artist, the goal of the training is to take a base human model from Daz 3D and then build a detailed character in Houdini.
With this course, you will learn how to add clothing using Vellum, model jewelry and set up the hairstyle and eyebrows in Houdini, make shaders using MaterialX, and how to light and render the model in Solaris using Karma XPU. The entire course is almost six and a half hours long and requires Houdini 19.5, the latest version of the software. Please note that this course features advanced techniques, so some basic knowledge of Houdini would be a must.
