A New Mafia Game is Confirmed to be in Development

At the moment, the game's release date remains unknown.

During a development interview dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Mafia series, Hangar 13's General Manager Roman Hladík confirmed that a brand new entry in the series is currently being developed at the studio. According to Hladík, the game is at its very early stages and will require several years of development before any further information can be shared, however, the game is already in production, promising to bring new entertaining stories set in the familiar world of Mafia.

"I'm happy to confirm we've started work on an all-new Mafia project," commented Hladík. "While it's a few years away and we can't share anything more right now, we're really excited to keep working on this beloved franchise and to entertain our players with new stories."

What's more, to celebrate the anniversary, the publisher of Mafia games 2K announced that it is making the original game available for free on Steam from September 1 to September 5, 2022.
