A New Pirate-Themed DLC Announced With A Trailer For Star Wars Outlaws

A Pirate's Fortune is coming this May.

Ubisoft just announced that the second story pack of Star Wars Outlaws, titled A Pirate's Fortune, is coming out this May. The news was revealed during Star Wars Celebration held in Japan, where Ubisoft also released a trailer offering players a sneak peek of the upcoming adventure.

"The new trailer shows Kay Vess embarking on a mysterious adventure where she encounters pirates and lost treasures. Kay and her companion Nix team up with infamous pirate Hondo Ohnaka to face off against Stinger Tash and her Rokana Raiders to uncover the hidden riches within the dangerous Khepi Tomb," according to Ubisoft's announcement

This DLC will be accessible and free for Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass owners, or can be purchased separately for $14.99. With this game update, all players will receive some cosmetic items inspired by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Meanwhile, Ultimate and Deluxe Edition owners will receive exclusive cosmetic packs, including the Naboo Nobility and Desert Nomad cosmetic packs.

For many, the announcement of a DLC for Star Wars Outlaws, of all games, came as a surprise, given that when the title was released last August to a lukewarm reception, it sold only one million copies in one month and failed to satisfy the expectations of the studio's executives.

Six months after Oultaws' release, player interest hasn't improved much, with SteamDB once again serving as an indicator of the game's overall reception and showing that Outlaws currently peaks at fewer than 600 concurrent daily players on Steam, with an all-time high of just 3,397 – a number reached back in February thanks to a 50% discount.

Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate's Fortune will be released on May 15 on all platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, via Ubisoft Connect, the Epic Games Store, and Steam. The game will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4.
