Moltenbolt has released a new guide providing an overview of the Ucupaint plug-in and showing how to use it for texture painting.

Moltenbolt, a skilled 3D Artist and YouTuber specializing in open-source art tools, has released a brand-new tutorial providing an extensive overview of Ucupaint, a great texturing add-on for Blender developed by 3D Artist and Developer ucupumar that many describe as a free alternative to Substance 3D Painter.

For those unfamiliar, Ucupaint was first released back in 2022 for Blender 2.79+. It enables its users to manage texture layers for Eevee and Cycles renderer, enhancing the software's texturing capabilities and making the artists' workflows more convenient. You can learn more and download the plug-in for free by clicking this link.

In this beginner-friendly, follow-along tutorial, Moltenbolt provided an overview of Ucupaint's capabilities and how it can be used for texture painting, showed the add-on in action by quickly texturing a 3D model, and shared some insightful tips and tricks on using Blender for 3D texturing.
