A Possible Look at the Upcoming GTA Online Age Check

Screenshots appeared online, offering a possible look at the upcoming system. The UK is likely to be the first region to get the update.

Data miners shared something interesting again. This time, enthusiasts have somehow found screenshots revealing the upcoming GTA Online’s age verification system, suggesting that the feature is nearly ready for release. While not yet implemented, the system was first spotted in GTA V’s game files earlier this August.

The screenshots display a QR code-based verification method, although it remains unclear which third-party service will handle the process. The UK is likely to be the first region to implement this feature, as the country recently passed the Online Safety Act, prompting platforms like Spotify to begin adapting similar verification tools.

Rockstar’s system may also roll out in other regions with strict age-related content regulations. The details were shared initially on X (formerly Twitter).

The data found suggests you may need to verify your age to access GTA Online, or you will lose access to certain features, including phone messages, text chat, Snapmatic, and other in-game features.

Earlier, analysts predicted that Grand Theft Auto 6 should earn its creators $7.6 billion in the first two months after launch.
