Another great way of enjoying the game.
Running the game on whatever is not meant for it is something like a challenge that proves hackers' and programmers' skills. We've seen it on LEGO bricks, pregnancy tests, potatoes, and many other "platforms." This time, a programmer kgsws installed Doom in DOS Doom 2 so you could play Doom while playing Doom.
The creator found a code execution exploit in the original DOS Doom 2 and imported the Chocolate Doom source port. kgsws used it to create a cinema that functions as a display for the game you can control. The game even has transparency working, but you can hear the sound in the game, unfortunately.
What's more, the coder ran Chocolate Heretic – a port of the first-person shooter made on Doom's engine.
