A Quick Look Back at the Games Created in Substance

Every year at GDC Adobe Substance 3D showcases games created by developers and artists using Substance. This time Substance shared a collection of the best gaming highlights for 5 years.

'It brings us immense pride that a wide range of game developers and studios, indie to AAA, are using the Substance 3D toolset to help bring life to the phenomenal games they create.', shared the Substance team.

2020

In 2020 a lot of outstanding games were textured with Substance: Cyberpunk 2077, Half-Life: Alyx, the remake of Final Fantasy VII, The Last of Us Part II, Control, Mortal Kombat 11, and a whole heap more.

2019

There were some great games in 2019. You can spot Substance in Marvel’s Spider-Man, Death Stranding, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and many others besides.

2018

For the 2018 showreel, the Substance team highlighted the use of Substance in games including Star Wars Battlefront II, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Call of Duty WWII, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Forza Motorsport 7, and others.

2017

In 2017, some of the games that were #madewithsubstance included: Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, Watch Dogs 2, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Dead Rising 4.

2016

The Substance showreel 2016 included such games as Forza Motorsport 6, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
