A Redditor Finds Uncle's Secret Collection of PlayStation Consoles

Saying goodbye to an old console is not an easy task.

Redditor herbse34 shared a neat story of an uncle who loves PlayStation. The uncle, according to the story, used to buy and sell electronics as a hobby. The Redditor's extended family would usually ask him to sell their old electronics. The family would give him money for their old consoles when they upgraded and they always thought the consoles had been sold.

Here comes a twist. The Redditor was recently asked by an uncle to through some of the old stuff and the author stumbled upon a PS that was familiar as it had a sticker the Redditor put on. It turns out, the uncle has been saving the consoles all those years.

"I've been a PS fan since the PS1 days, our family's first console was a PS1 bundled with Need For Speed. and absolutely loved seeing these consoles next to each other, so I brought my PS5 over to compare with the old ones," wrote the author.

"I don't know much but I'm assuming that there are probably some models/variants that aren't there but it's amazing to see the overall evolution of the consoles and controllers firsthand."

Not like I've seen that before... And not like I have a collection! Also not like there are thousands more people who have all these consoles

Dope! I can relate to keeping for the sake of nostalgia. Letting my children go out into the world was probably a little easier. Lol.
