A Reddit user known only as krunnky has recently shared a heartwarming story over on r/Steam, showing that their dad hit a milestone in gaming hours, getting more than 23,000 hours in Crusader Kings II, a 2012 grand strategy game developed and published by Paradox.
As stated in the original post, this impressive number was achieved mainly by the father's intertwining his enthusiasm for medieval strategies with his love for sleep, with krunnky calculating that around half of those 23k hours were spent "dozing off in-game".
In the comments, a suggestion was made that the original poster should gift their father Crusader Kings III, a newer release in the franchise launched back in 2020. Krunnky responded by revealing that they had indeed already done so, but despite trying out the sequel, their father still returned to the second game.
