A new felt-like eye candy from Add-on Developer Rahul Parihar.
Rahul Parihar, a Shader Artist and Blender Add-on Developer, known online as DoubleGum, continues working on the upcoming 2.0 update for the Woolly plug-in, providing one more look at the recently released needle-felt modifier.
For those unfamiliar, Woolly is Rahul's fully procedural knitting shader for Blender that can be used with image textures and/or UV-unwrapped objects to give your models the appearance of being made from yarn. The recent update, shipped earlier this month, introduced a brand-new needle-felt modifier, which is now available for all Woolly owners at no extra cost.
To demonstrate the power of this new modifier, the creator has set up an impressive 3D recreation of the Hollow Knight protagonist's head, making it look like a real-life needle-felt plushie. As noted by Rahul, the model needs to be UV unwrapped for the modifier to be applied properly.
