Web versions of the tools offer core functions, letting you edit documents hosted in the cloud.
At the annual Adobe Max conference, the Adobe team released online versions of Photoshop and Illustrator. It is now possible to perform some basic editing without downloading the apps. It is important to note, however, that the web versions of these programs do not offer the entire set of tools that app versions do, but nonetheless, it is a significant jump forward that will make the life of many artists easier.
On top of basic editing, web versions also let you comment on and share work with collaborators. You can navigate layers, leave annotations and comments, and use tools like the Eraser, Spot Healing brush, and Selection Lasso. Photoshop web app is labeled as beta, and Illustrator on the web is an invite-only private beta.
