AdonisFX 2.0 Brings Full Support For Houdini
The latest update lets digital characters move smoothly between Maya and Houdini while keeping consistent, high-quality results.
Developed by Inbibo, AdonisFX is a digital anatomy framework initially released for Maya, offering layered simulations. The latest major version now integrates natively with Houdini and significantly enhances performance, enabling users to work interactively in real-time.
AdonisFX now supports Maya and Houdini with uniform behavior. Anatomical rigs built in one app work identically in the other, making it great for hybrid pipelines where animation occurs in Maya and simulation in Houdini. Characters can now move between both environments without any conversion or data loss.
Version 2.0 adds advanced collision systems that prevent muscle interpenetration during extreme poses or complex creature deformations. This ensures anatomical accuracy without the need for manual cleanup, which is especially critical when handling hundreds of shots with dense anatomical setups.
Directional muscle fiber behavior produces more realistic tissue deformation, especially in large muscle groups during dynamic movements or extreme character poses.
AdonisFX provides instant feedback while you work. Scrub through the timeline and watch muscle compression, skin sliding, and fat dynamics update live, all within the same scene, no caching needed.
