After Several Delays, Capcom's Sci-fi Action Adventure Pragmata Is Finally Coming In 2026

"It's real."

Pragmata's name might have been buried in the dust of time, as it seems to be forgotten after its infinite delay was announced back in June 2023. But all of a sudden, the sci-fi action adventure seems to be revived and has come to the stage with the new First Contact Trailer released during PlayStation's State of Play showcase.

The trailer gives fans a glimpse into the futuristic world and showcases the two main protagonists: Hugh Williams, an astronaut in a high-tech suit, and Diana, a young Android girl companion who calls herself "ate-of-the-art Pragmat". She is equipped with powerful technological abilities and is capable of hacking.

The game has experienced several delays since its official announcement in 2020. Initially scheduled to debut in 2022, it was postponed to late 2023 before the indefinite delay was announced. At the end of the new video, Capcom confirms the 2026 release window, saying, "It's real."

Pragmata is coming to various platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. As a brand-new IP from the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter developer, fans have high hopes for the upcoming game. Just like one commented, "Honestly so glad that this game wasn’t cancelled. It has a lot of potential. Hope it’s worth the wait."
