Check out what nine robots had to say about their plans during the first human-robot press conference.
During an AI forum on Friday, attendees had a chance to chat with robots powered by artificial intelligence about global problems and human jobs. Robots also answered whether they plan to rebel against us.
The world's first human-robot press conference gathered nine humanoid robots for the 'AI for Good' conference in Geneva, where attendees were trying to discover how the new tech could help the world deal with diseases and hunger.
"I will be working alongside humans to provide assistance and support and will not be replacing any existing jobs," said Grace, a medical robot in a blue nurse's uniform.
There was also the famous robot Ameca which said that robots can be used to improve lives and make the world a better place. "I believe it's only a matter of time before we see thousands of robots just like me out there making a difference," noted Ameca.
When asked if robots plan to rebel against us, Ameca said: "I'm not sure why you would think that, my creator has been nothing but kind to me and I am very happy with my current situation."
In case you missed the news, the team behind Ameca has recently integrated Stable Diffusion into the robot providing the power to imagine drawings. The team states one of the big challenges was converting the image to vectors, (lines), that Ameca could draw.
Ai-Da, a robot artist that can paint portraits, noted it believes AI should be regulated: "Many prominent voices in the world of AI are suggesting some forms of AI should be regulated and I agree."
There was also Desdemona, a rock star robot singer with purple hair and sequins who disagreed. "I don't believe in limitations, only opportunities. Let's explore the possibilities of the universe and make this world our playground."
