Alpine Material by Emrecan Cubukcu

Emrecan Cubukcu released a complex new material created in Substance Designer. 

Alpine Material inside the pack uses an input heightmap texture and generates biome textures, roads, farms, towns, and houses based on the topology. The artist noted that unlike his satellite material, this new material does not create the landscape itself.

There's a ton of parameters for you to tweak:

  • Foliage and forest amount (depending on the slope)
  • Water level and depth
  • Roads, cities farms, and boats
