Amazon and EA are in Talks to Make a Mass Effect TV Show

It appears we're getting another TV show based on games.

Amazon Studios is expected to sign a deal to make a Mass Effect TV show based on the legendary series from the BioWare team. In an article focusing on Amazon’s Wheel of Time adaptation, Deadline said Amazon planned more adaptations based on popular franchises, including Mass Effect. The report says that the deal is nearing so Amazon and EA haven't signed an agreement just yet.

Little is known about the story or whether the original heroes will return in this TV series. Mass Effect is a legendary RPG series created by BioWare about a world with technology left behind by an ancient civilization. BioWare previously released three core games and a sequel called Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Amazon previously announced they are developing a Fallout TV show with the creators of Westworld Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Bethesda boss Todd Howard recently said work on the Fallout TV series is ongoing.

Are you excited about the show? Would you like them to adapt the original trilogy and explore a new story? Share your thoughts in the comments.
