The company added that if Bethesda wants to add DLSS support, they have AMD’s full support.
AMD gaming chief Frank Azor commented on the situation saying there is nothing preventing Bethesda from implementing DLSS support in Starfield. The manager went to add that AMD would provide the necessary assistance to the developers if needed. Azor though decided not to disclose any information on the exclusive agreement between AMD and Bethesda.
"If they want to do DLSS, they have AMD’s full support," Azor said.
The AMD representative stressed that the Starfield developers opted to use FSR partly because the technology works on the Xbox Series consoles, allowing Bethesda to improve performance on consoles where DLSS support is absent.
"Bethesda’s decision to use FSR is console leverage," Azor stressed.
