An Artist Makes a Math Game Prototype For His 5-Year-Old Child

Jón Kristinsson demonstrated a wholesome way to teach a preschooler basic math.

In this day and age, parents typically have a variety of methods to approach the education of their preschoolers, spanning from traditional approaches like "go read a book" to more unconventional ones made possible by 21st-century technology.

A recent example comes from Jón Kristinsson, a Danish Artist, Animator, and Game Developer, who showcased an impressive math game prototype he created for his 5-year-old son, who at his young age is already an avid math enthusiast.

As demonstrated by Jón, the game requires the player to solve basic addition equations, rewarding points for correct answers and deducting them for incorrect ones. Upon accumulating enough correct answers, the player earns an orb, which can be used to unlock the door to the next level. According to the creator, his son has already tried the prototype and loved it, with the child's only comment being, "Is there more?"
