The setup was created for an upcoming CFX course by Aurélie Duret.
CFX TD and Houdini CFX/Groom Artist Aurélie Duret has recently previewed a "production pipeline-compatible" setup and a full template of basic CFX for creating realistic 3D hair and cloth simulations in Houdini.
According to the author, the setup was developed as an illustrative example for an upcoming CFX course at ÉCOLE BRASSART Lyon, intended to serve as a comprehensive template for students' graduation projects. The demo shared by Aurélie showcases a rough render test of the final sim after running the full template. Besides Houdini, the artist also utilized Marvelous Designer to create the character's outfit and Reallusion's ActorCore AccuRig to rig and animate the character.
"Unfortunately, this is not an online course but only a course IRL I'll present in person in front of a class of students," commented the artist. "Maybe if there's enough people asking for it I'll make it available for download on Gumroad, but for now that's not the plan."
