Luke Adwick demonstrated Hogwarts Legacy's intro environment from a developer's point-of-view and shared some details regarding its production.
Senior 3D Environment Artist Luke Adwick has recently shared a new ArtStation post providing an in-engine look at the dark and gloomy London streets environment created for Hogwarts Legacy's intro scene.
With a video demo and a series of renders, Adwick showcased the level from a developer's point-of-view and provided some details regarding the production process behind it, saying that he started working on Hogwarts Legacy as part of the Studio Gobo team and was responsible for modeling the majority of the intro's buildings and terrain, creating some materials, set dressing, and polishing. According to the project's description, the creator utilized Maya, Substance 3D Designer, and Unreal Engine to set up the environment.
Additionally, Adwick contributed to "various set dressings throughout the world, remakes of expensive asset sets of ruins and structures, additional cinematic models, and open-world optimization investigations":
