An Unorthodox Version of Three Wise Monkeys by Pascal Blanché
Concept Artist Pascal Blanché has created a cyberpunk version of the three wise monkeys.
Concept Artist and Illustrator Pascal Blanché, known for the amazing designs with cyberpunk vibes, has unveiled his new project named Kikazaru, Mizaru, Iwazaru. For those unaware, these are the names of the three wise monkeys that embody the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" principle in Japanese culture. The three characters created by Pascal represent the same principle, with Mizaru's eyes, Kikazaru's ears, and Iwazaru's mouth being covered, not with hands but with futuristic devices instead.
Unfortunately, not much is known about the working process behind the portraits, but we already contacted the artist and invited him to 80 Level to tell us more about the workflow. As a rule, however, Pascal uses ZBrush, 3ds Max, Photoshop, and KeyShot to create his amazing designs.
Here are the standalone portraits and some close-ups, shared by the artist:
Besides being a fantastic Concept Artist, Pascal has also been the Art Director for such games as Far Cry: New Dawn, Runescape, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, and many others.
