Android Accounted for 56% of the Market's Ad Revenue in October

In October 2022, Android experienced a 2% drop in eCPM, a 5% increase in revenue, and a 9% increase in ad views compared to September 2022. 

Tenjin and InMobi have released a new report on mobile monetization over October 2022 revealing how the new Google Play ad policy, which came into effect on September 30, 2022, influenced the ad monetization market.

According to the report, Android accounts for 56% of the market's advertising revenue. Most of the ad impressions (65%) also fall on the platform. The top country by ad revenue on Android during the month was the USA followed by Japan, Brazil, the UK, and Germany. As for iOS, the top countries by ad revenue included the US, Japan, the UK, China, and Canada.

75% of ad views on Android came from banners, 9% from videos, and 8% from interstitials. Revenue on Android was distributed as follows: 61% from banners, 23% from interstitials, and 8% from rewarded videos. On iOS, 80% of views came from banners, followed by interstitials (8%), and video ads (7%). 71% of ad revenue on iOS came from banners, 21% from interstitials, and 5% from rewarded videos.

The report also reveals that in October 2022, Android experienced a 2% drop in eCPM, a 5% increase in revenue, and a 9% increase in ad views compared to September 2022.
