In August's free UE5 learning materials, you will explore creating animations with Metahumans, using Epic Online Services, adding smoke and fire effects, and more.
Epic Games released August's free learning content, inviting you to delve into animating with MetaHuman, creating Blueprint-controlled particle effects, and uncovering the ways Epic Online Services can be used in your projects.
In the first tutorial, you will learn how to merge a Metahuman animator head onto a body using a custom anim blueprint. The guide explains how you can layer your face and head motion on top of existing body motion. Also, Epic started a new series of their new How-To Guides, in which the professionals explain how you can use Epic Online Services. The first guide details adding Achievements, Stats, and Leaderboards.
The next free tutorial on Niagara covers the creation of a level, where a player has to maneuver through a platform scattered with explosive mines. After completing this tutorial, Epic invites you to proceed to the next three-part tutorial series, which teaches you how to control visual effects created with Niagara using the Blueprint visual scripting system. While completing this learning path, you will use the effects created in the previous Niagara tutorials on fire and smoke.
