Animation Study Inspired by The Last of Us in UE5.7

Andrey Baronov detailed his workflow on realistic character movement.

3D Animator Andrey Baronov unveiled his new project inspired by The Last of Us, exploring the tools of Unreal Engine 5. The setup highlights lifelike character animation, with the backpack responding realistically as the character runs.

The artist outlined the main steps of his workflow. He used a pre-made character with Motion Matching transferred onto it, combined it with strike animations from a free pack, and also added and skinned an extra bone under the character's backpack, noting that the process is especially convenient in Unreal Engine 5.7.
