Apex Legends Hits a New Player Count Record

Following the release of the 16th season, the game's concurrent player count reached 610,433 people, surpassing the previous record by 100,000 players.

Respawn's popular battle royal Apex Legends has hit a new record in player count surpassing the previous milestone by a whopping 100,000 players.

According to SteamDB charts, on February 15, the number of concurrent Apex Legends players reached 610,433 people, while previously, the 24-hour peak was 510,000 players.

The new record was largely driven by the release of a new season of the game, Revelry, which delivered a number of changes, including the reorganization of Legend class system and new game modes that players have eagerly desired.

The most significant change that Revelry brought to Apex Legends is the substitution of the controversial 3v3 arena mode with the much-awaited Team Deathmatch option which gives players the ability to participate in 6v6 battles in which a team can win a round by scoring 30 kills, and the entire match by winning two rounds.

The 610,433 figure is definitely a good result for the developer as the game's player count boost comes right after the significant decline in player count following the release of Season 15 in November of last year. At that time, Apex Legend's concurrent player count dropped from 412,961 on November 24 to 349,798 on December 22.
