Armored Core VI Sales Hit Over 2.8 Million Copies

Ryo Shimokawa and Yasuyuki Kase, the Japanese voice actors behind the characters Pater and Rusty in Armored Core VI, shared during a YouTube stream that the game has surpassed 2.8 million copies in sales. This news was revealed when the two actors were invited as guests on the stream.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, a mecha-based vehicular combat game, was created by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. This highly anticipated installment marks the return of the Armored Core series since Armored Core: Verdict Day (2013). Available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, it offers an immersive experience across multiple platforms.

The gameplay revolves around intense mecha-based vehicular combat. Players assume the roles of skilled pilots, commanding formidable mechs known as Armored Cores. To enhance their performance, players have the freedom to modify their mechs using various parts. With slots available for weapons on each arm and two on the mech's rear, players have a lot of options at their disposal to customize their loadouts and engage in thrilling battles.

Armored Core VI made its debut on August 25, 2023, and within just around a month and a half, the game has already sold an impressive 2.8 million copies. To put this achievement into perspective, it surpasses the first-month sales of Dark Souls III, which reached three million copies in 2016.

While specific global sales data for other games in the Armored Core series is not available, it is worth noting that in Japan alone, the series has sold up to 225 thousand copies. This sales figure highlights the success of Armored Core VI, as it has surpassed the sales of previous games in the series by a substantial margin.

Armored Core VI has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, with almost 90% positive rating from players. Additionally, the game has achieved remarkable online engagement, reaching a peak concurrent player count of over 150,000.
