Artist Uses Relighting to Transform a Green-Screen Shot into an Epic Scene

Check out a new project from Compositing Academy.

3D Artist Alex from Compositing Academy showcased a new behind-the-scenes process of creating a spectacular animated show set up in Blender.

The shot that became the green screen shot, which served as the base for the epic pilot scene, was filmed in the artist's living room. The artist shared that he also wanted to test using the Beeble Nuke Plugin, which allows for relighting footage that was already filmed, and that was how he made the explosion cast light onto the person.
