Players of the latest bestseller spent 10 million hours in the game and petted Scratch more than 750,000 times.
Larian Studios published a new post that reveals some gameplay stats with infographics highlighting players' choices in Baldur's Gate 3 so far.
First, when it comes to character creation, the halfelf race became the most popular among players, followed closely by humans in second place and elves in third. The least chosen was the githyanki race.

As for different classes, paladin was the most popular choice among players in Baldur's Gate 3, followed by the sorcerer in second place and the warlock in third. Another thing worth noting is that over 93% of players chose to create their own hero for their first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3.

Gale is the winner on the list of most popular pre-made heroes chosen by players for their playthroughs, followed by Karlach in second place and Astarion in third. Laezel was the least chosen.
Players love dogs as they petted Scratch more than 750,000 times. The team also shared that players of Baldur's Gate 3 spent over 10 million hours in the game, equivalent to more than 1225 years. In total, players spent over 88 years creating their characters. Approximately 10% of players spent at least an hour creating their heroes.
Most players preferred a romance with Shadowheart, followed by Gale in second place. Astarion rejected romantic relationships with almost 100,000 players. It turns out that 12% of all player deaths were caused by friendly fire, with Gale's spells being the seventh most popular cause of death.

Players had conversations with over 1.4 million corpses and 2.4 million animals, and only 368 players managed to complete the game during the first 3-day weekend.
