The new platform will be launched with the integration of two Autodesk products: ShotGrid, which is a production-tracking system, and Moxion, a digital dailies platform.

Last year, we reported on Flow, a brand-new "industry cloud" for media and entertainment aimed at work like visual effects and game development, which was announced during Autodesk University 2022, Autodesk's annual user event.

As the developer states, Autodesk Flow is a cloud-based platform that connects people, workflows, and data throughout the entire production lifecycle. It's one of three industry clouds announced by Autodesk, along with Forma and Fusion, which cater to the AEC, design, and manufacturing sectors. Flow is part of Autodesk's Design and Make platform, supported by Autodesk Platform Services. The main objectives of Flow include fostering collaboration between teams and stages of production, providing a centralized hub for assets and feedback, automating pipeline tasks, and generating analytics for better project budgeting and scheduling.

During this year's Autodesk University 2023, the company shared more information on the upcoming platform. Autodesk Flow is set to launch in 2024. Initially, two Autodesk products, ShotGrid (a production-tracking system) and Moxion (a digital dailies platform), will be integrated with Flow. Users can request early access to Flow in January 2024, with wider availability expected later in the year, although the "timing is subject to change".
