Avatar The Way of Water-Inspired Fluid Simulation Made in Houdini

The creator utilized Redshift to render the simulation.

Have a look at this highly-realistic ocean simulation with Pokémon's Lapras creating lifelike waves and myriads of whitewater particles, created by Houdini FX Artist Vasilis Chatziantoniou. According to the artist, the simulation was inspired by James Cameron's 2022 Avatar: The Way of Water movie and was created using Houdini for the simulation itself and Redshift, Maxon's production-ready GPU-based renderer, for shading and rendering.
