3D Artist Yasutaka Fukuda has shared an impressive animation showcasing baking Japanese rice cakes with cloth simulation in real-time.
These delicious-looking Japanese mochi rice cakes were roasted while practicing cloth simulation with subsurface scattering in Blender's Eevee. As 3D Artist Yasutaka Fukuda explained, for this scene they have placed a makeshift wire mesh made with Curve and an icosphere charcoal with Displace modifier applied.
