The Director of Publishing hinted at the possibility on Twitter.
It appears that Baldur's Gate 3 might eventually introduce the ability to change a character's appearance after the initial character creation. The possibility was hinted at by Michael Douse, Director of Publishing at Larian Studios, in response to a user's question on his Twitter account.
Douse did not make any specific promises but mentioned that the developers are "working on something." It was noticed online that Douse only responded to inquiries regarding the change of appearance which made it people to interpret that as a hint.
Larian Studios has already released three hotfixes for Baldur's Gate 3. The company has announced that they are actively working on the first major patch, which will include a "gigantic" list of changes. Little is known about whether the team plans to introduce the ability in the first patch.
In other news, a YouTuber and speedrunner known as Mae successfully completed Baldur's Gate 3 in slightly over ten minutes. Learn more here.
As for character creation in the game, Baldur's Gate 3 lead character artist Alena Dubrovina previously explained why there are no face sliders in the character creator and how players can express themselves with genital customization.
