Baldur's Gate 3's Exact Release Time Unveiled

Larian has provided a detailed map showing when to expect the game to arrive depending on your region.

As the highly-anticipated release of Baldur's Gate 3 draws near, eager fans are preparing themselves to dive into the long-awaited DnD-based RPG as soon as possible. Thankfully, Larian Studios has catered to their excitement by unveiling a detailed map that reveals the game's arrival time across different regions.

Mark your calendars for August 3, 2023, at 3 PM GMT, when the game officially launches. For players in Los Angeles, the wait will be over at 8 AM local time, while fans in Gent, Belgium (Larian's hometown), can expect the game to arrive at 5 PM. As for those in Sydney and Tokyo, they will have to be a little patient, as Baldur's Gate 3 becomes available on August 4 at 1 AM and 12 AM, respectively.

Please note that the ETA shown above is relevant only to PC players. PlayStation 5 owners eager to dive into Baldur's Gate 3's immersive world will have to wait a bit longer, with Larian planning to ship a PS5 version of the game on September 6, 2023.

Xbox players are the unluckiest when it comes to BG3, as the Xbox Series X|S version of the game is still in development, with its release date currently being unknown. As noted by the Head of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, this peculiar release schedule has nothing to do with any exclusivity agreement but rather is caused by the difficulties of making the game work on various consoles.

Previously, Vincke also commented on the development of RPGs, saying that he doesn't understand why so few developers focus on this genre. He also addressed the game's 17,000 ending variations and revealed how many endings there actually are.

Earlier this week, Larian also announced that BG3 will feature its own version of Oblivion's Adoring Fan – Naaber. Naaber promises to be an extremely annoying, boastful, and talkative character, who won't shut up even after his death. He will be played and voiced by streamer Ben Cassell.
