Bandai Namco Mobile Tries a Four-Day Workweek

The Barcelona-based studio thinks this structure will benefit employees' mental health and productivity.

Bandai Namco Mobile, based in Barcelona, decided to try a four-day workweek. The company's employees will have longer weekends for the next six months to test the structure. This is supposed to benefit the workers' mental health and improve their ability "to innovate and break through new barriers in the mobile F2P market."

"Trialling the move to the four-day workweek is the next logical step for us to continue striving to reduce stress, increase creativity and enable our teams to do their very best work," the studio said.

Bandai Namco is not the first studio to try such a policy; as it's becoming more and more popular, a lot of companies adopt the system: Armor Games, Eidos-Montréal, and Blackbird Interactive are some of them.

What do you think about the four-day workweek? Would you like to try it, or maybe you already have?
