Bandai Namco Will Share "More Elden Ring News" in the Coming Weeks

The company hasn't specified what the fans of the game should expect but players believe it might be talking about a major DLC.

At The Game Awards 2022, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco's Elden Ring was named the Game of the Year, overcoming A Plague Tale: Requiem, God of War Ragnarök, Horizon Forbidden West, Stray, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In addition, the game received awards for Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Role Playing Game.

To celebrate the honorary awards, Bandai Namco sent a letter to players, congratulating the action RPG on its victory and thanking the fans for their support.

"Congratulations to Elden Ring for winning Game of the Year, Best RPG, and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards," the company wrote. "It's been an incredible year of gaming and we thank the Elden Ring community for their love and support of the game thus far."

What's more, in the same letter, the publisher additionally teased that there is more news related to the game that awaits Elden Ring fans in the coming days and weeks and added that if players have not yet experienced Elden Ring, now is the best time to try playing it.

Bandai Namco didn't specify what exactly the fans of the game should expect, however, players on the Elden Ring subreddit immediately suggested that the publisher might hint at a major DLC for the game. The company hasn't yet officially announced any news so it remains to be seen whether the fans are right.
