Beautiful 3D Harpy Woman in Maya, ZBrush & Substance 3D

Fabio Cazzador presented a new realistic portrait based on John Patrick Gañas' illustration.

Fabio Cazzador, a 3D Character Artist whose highly-realistic 3D model of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' Rebecca impressed us back in June, continues experimenting with lifelike digital character portraits, presenting a new outstanding piece.

Meet Harpy of the North, a detailed portrait of a woman with bird-like features, described by the author as a reinterpretation of one of the characters from the Cardinal Winds Series piece by Concept Artist and Illustrator John Patrick Gañas, but with "a personal touch".

To set up the portrait, the creator utilized Maya and ZBrush for modeling and sculpting, Substance 3D Painter for texturing, and Arnold for rendering. Additionally, Fabio leveraged TexturingXYZ's materials to set up Harpy of the North's textures and XGen, Maya's instancing tool, to create the character's hair and feathers. Attached below are some of the renders shared by the artist, you can check out more by visiting Fabio's ArtStation page:
