Artist Icaro Carvalho wants to see if he should surrender to AI or keep working.
Being an artist is tough nowadays when generative AI threatens to take your job. Icaro Carvalho revisited his older 3D project, Sun's Smile, trying to see if he should continue his craft or let technology take over.
"I saw a lot of people talking about the evolution of AI and I reworked an old piece of mine to see if I should give [in to] AI or continue doing 3D," he said.
Old version
The beautiful Blender portrait of a girl is more detailed than the old version, with slight downy hairs peppering her cheeks for further realism.
Carvalho made the hair with the Hair Wrangler Pro add-on by DannyMac3D and then converted the curves to hair particles.
