Bethesda Softworks has released a new official trailer for their upcoming space-themed action RPG Starfield, announcing the game's release date. First set to launch on November 11, 2022, Starfield's release was postponed to the first half of 2023, with the developers planning to polish the game before the release. With the new trailer, Bethesda finally unveiled the specific launch date for the RPG, saying that the players will be able to "embark on an epic journey" on Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 6, 2023.
Furthermore, Todd Howard himself made an appearance in the second half of the trailer, emphasizing the studio's eagerness to ship the game and announcing Starfield Direct, an upcoming event that will offer a deep dive into the game and reveal more information about it, set to take place on June 11, 2023.
"We know you've waited a long time to play something new from us. Believe it or not, we're kind of the same, we miss it," comments Howard. "The game has many of the hallmarks that you'd expect from us, but it's also a very unique experience."
