Pre-loads start today for Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Store and August 30 for Steam.
Following several delays and years of waiting, Bethesda's space-themed action RPG Starfield has finally gone gold, signifying the completion of the game's primary development phase and readiness for the manufacturing stage.
First set to launch on November 11, 2022, Starfield's release was postponed to the first half of 2023, with the developers planning to polish the game before the release, and then postponed once again to September 6, 2023, which is the current and most likely final release date.

While the official release date is September 6, owners of the Digital Premium Edition and Constellation Edition will have the opportunity to commence their gaming experience five days earlier, starting from September 1.
Previously, players also discovered the game's size on the Xbox store page – it will take 125 GBs of your space. Furthermore, Starfield will be included in the Play Anywhere program, granting those who purchase it on the Microsoft Store access to both the PC and Xbox versions of the game.
