If you're a big fan of The Elder Scrolls franchise, you probably know that yesterday, on March 25, the series turned 30. To celebrate this big day, Bethesda, the developer behind the games, shared a post on Twitter, reminiscing about how it all started and where it is now.
However, the part that captured everyone's attention was definitely the one about The Elder Scrolls 6.
"Last but not least, yes, we are in development on the next chapter – The Elder Scrolls 6," Bethesda wrote. "Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early builds has us filled with the same joy, excitement, and promise of adventure."
It's good to hear that Bethesda is already testing "early builds" of The Elder Scrolls 6.
Speaking of the game, introduced in 2018 with a brief teaser, The Elder Scrolls 6 hasn't had many details shared by the studio. The release date remains undisclosed. In court documents related to a case against the Federal Trade Commission, Microsoft revealed that The Elder Scrolls 6 is not expected to be released until 2026 on PC and Xbox.
So, it seems that the only thing we can do is to wait and see what's ahead of us in the upcoming years.
