The game is set to be a free-to-play PvE co-op action game set in a vibrant fantasy world designed for crossplay.
Elodie Games, a new game studio comprised of former BioWare, Riot Games, and Blizzard devs, has announced its debut title codenamed Project Skies.
According to the studio, Project Skies is a crossplay-designed, free-to-play PvE co-op action game that draws inspiration from the genres the team worked on at their previous studios, particularly RPGs, MMOs, and MOBAs.
The title is set to be a socially-focused game with extensive replayability and progression. In the game, players assume the roles of iconic champions and venture into the vibrant, optimistic fantasy world. The devs emphasize that the gameplay experience is centered around co-op play as the game aims to foster social connections between players and their friends through both casual and competitive play.
The developers stated that they would support Project Skies post-launch and regularly release additional locations, playable characters, and storylines.
Elodie Games has already opened registration for pre-alpha testing for PC and smartphones. The developer didn't specify whether the title will be released on consoles as well.
