Blender Artist Recreated Real-Life Pine Cone With Geometry Nodes

Geometry Nodes users are like magicians, it often feels like there's nothing they can't do. 3D Artist Michael3D recently attempted to recreate a photo of a giant pine cone shared by Thomas "Pilgrim" Butters, who asked fellow 3D artists how they would approach modeling something like this. 

This setup allows you to adjust between low-poly and high-poly versions. You can use a version you like for baking and then import the final result into a game engine.

Although this looks quite impressive, the artist mentioned it was actually quick to create, taking less than an hour. Since the setup gained attention online, Michael3D generously made it available for free on Gumroad.
