The Blender Foundation continues to support Blender 4.2, which brought Eevee Next, Extensions, and many exciting updates to Geometry Nodes, with a new corrective release dedicated to resolving issues from both the 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 versions.
This is the third release in the LTS series of Blender 4, which will be supported until July 2026, and it addresses over 50 issues since version 4.2.2. Following the previous corrective release, which resolved a total of 101 issues since 4.2.1, Blender 4.2.3 continues to improve stability and performance. This includes various bugs and crashes related to compositing and Eevee, editing meshes, saving preferences, and much more, so it's highly recommended to update. For a complete and detailed list of changes, see the changelog here.
Blender 3.6.17 LTS has been released with just one fix, as is typical for well-established LTS versions. This update is related to license attribution of the built-in HDRI.
