Blender 3.5 will provide a Metal GPU backend supporting Eevee.
The upcoming Blender 3.5 release will provide a Metal GPU backend on macOS builds, now supporting Eevee and improving its viewport performance, according to the blog post on its website.
Previously, the Metal backend was available for Cycles only, but now users can enjoy viewport rendering with Eevee as well.
The benchmarks published by Blender show better results over the OpenGL backend in both render time and frames per second.
Next, the developers are planning to introduce support for the real-time compositor, which is currently not available on macOS.
Blender 3.5 is currently in alpha, with the release expected in March.
