Blender-Made Procedural Material for Creating a Realistic Moire Effect

The shader works with both Cycles and Eevee and is available via the creator's Gumroad.

3D Environment Artist and Hard-Surface Modeler, known only as A Bored Blender Artist, has showcased a neat procedural material that can be used to set up a realistic-looking Moire Effect, a distortion that happens when one tries to capture an LED display on camera.

Created in Blender, the material mimics the physical characteristics of a computer monitor by using individual pixels with R/G/B diodes, allowing you to add more realism to the computer displays in your animations. According to the creator, the shader works in Cycles and Eevee without any major modifications and can be used for both personal and commercial projects.

You can learn more and purchase the material for just $1 by visiting the author's Gumroad page.
