Introducing 20 and 5 corrective fixes, respectively.
The Blender Foundation has rolled out Blender 3.6.8 LTS and Blender 3.3.15 LTS, a couple of updates for the first and the last long-term support releases of the Blender 3.X series, shipped in September 2022 and June 2023. As corrective releases, they don't introduce new features and tools, acting instead as supplements to the previous versions. Both 3.6.8 and 3.3.15 concentrate on resolving bug fixes, crashes, freezes, and other issues, with 20 and 5 improvements introduced, respectively.
Issues addressed in Blender 3.6.8 LTS:
- Cycles: add ROCm 6 compatibility for HIP.
- Graph editor: “Frame selected” zooms in so much that the Y-axis disappears.
- Make the preference option “remap relative” apply for all save operations.
- Regression: VSE: Crash unlinking packed font file from text strip with more than one user.
- Assert on selecting object in outliner.
- Geometry Nodes: shortest path node can’t process attributes properly.
- File Browser: Blender freezes for half a minute when opening File Browser.
- Fix: memory leak during Property Search.
- Extrude to Cursor tool: it doesn’t allow to correct position of a new vertex after LMB is pressed.
- Regression: UV window menus disappearing.
- Python error loading fbx file in a new project.
- Crash: Opening a 3.3 project crashes 3.6/4.0.
- Rendering multiple deformation motion blur steps with the “velocity” attribute is wrong and can cause memory problems.
- And more.
