Blender Terrain Mixer

Check out a cool new terrain solution for Blender.

Marko Prpic Zets has recently presented Terrain Mixer, an efficient solution for Blender that will help you quickly set up terrains. Basically, it is a 'Cycles' material setup that will let you mix heightmaps and diffuse maps.

"We're huge fans of the 'Gaea' terrain generator. It is a professional tool used by hundreds of top artists around the globe," wrote the developer. "Since there isn't any Gaea-to-Blender, and tools like Quixel Mixer and Substance Painter (or Designer) only bring unnecessary headaches to the process, we decided to create a 'Cycles' material setup that would help us mix heightmaps and diffuse maps fast and easy."

The team will also be adding new 8K (16K in the future) height and color maps almost every week. The pack is meant for abstract exploration rather than precise control over every segment of the terrain. Please note that you can use your own maps.
