Blender Tool For Deforming Edge Loops Using Curves

A new release from Mio3io.

Mio3io, the developer of the Maya-inspired, user-friendly UV editing add-on, has launched a new free tool called Mio3 Flex, which reshapes edge loops into smooth, freeform curves using a controllable path.

Key features include:

  • Smooths vertices along a curve;
  • X-axis mirroring for control points and mesh;
  • Axis constraints;
  • Auto-adjusts control point density by vertex count;
  • Displays the original edges as a reference.

To use it, select the edge loop you want to edit and click Mio3 Flex in the sidebar, then choose Path Deform. If you select multiple edge loops, each one will get its own independent path. If you don't want to adjust the path controls, you can quickly apply the deformation by pressing the Quick button

Mio3 Flex is available on GitHub and on Blender's Extensions platform.

Mio3 UV has also recently been updated for Blender 5.0, so make sure to update it in Extensions if you want to use it:
