Blizzard Makes Diablo 4 a Free Game on Steam

However, it won't last forever.

Blizzard made an exciting announcement on November 21, which coincided with the start of Steam's major fall sale, – Diablo 4 is now available for free to all players. However, this free offer is only available for a limited time. Diablo 4, the long-awaited fourth installment in the famous series, had a successful summer launch and has since received content updates, including the current Season of Blood. Now, players can experience the game on Steam without any cost.

This limited-time free period is a good opportunity for those who haven't played the latest Diablo game yet. The free trial on Steam will be available until Tuesday, November 28. Also, there is a 40% discount on the game's purchase price, with the Standard Edition priced at $41.99. The Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions are also on sale, offering discounted optional content. Progress made during the trial period will carry over for players who decide to continue playing on Steam.

During the trial, players will have access to all the content mentioned, but characters are capped at level 20. This limit may not take long to reach, especially since Blizzard is running a "Mother's Blessing Week" that provides a 35% XP and gold bonus until November 27. This bonus applies to both the trial version and the full release, meaning players can progress quickly during the trial period.

In October, the game made its debut on Steam where players didn't welcome it with open arms.
