Blizzard Might Be Working on a New Open-World Shooter

The company has posted several job positions for an unannounced project.

Recently, Blizzard has published several open job positions for an "unannounced project," which will allegedly be an "open-world shooter."

The job posts include Senior Technical Designer, Senior 3D Environment Artist, Associate Design Director, Innovation, and more. The hiring for Associate Design Director of Innovation refers to the genre of the new possible project: "As the Design Director of Innovation, you will be the vision holder and owner of key strategic innovations on an upcoming open-world shooter game." However, there are no more details on a future game.

Previously, an industry insider and journalist Jason Schreier revealed that Blizzard was actively developing a new StarCraft game. Schreier recently released his book on Blizzard's 30-year history, sharing various insights and news.
